Job Description

Provide technical and print support for WEB presses and customers operating in Australia and New Zealand as required. Reporting to Service Manager

The Ideal Candidate

5 years experience as Printing Service Technician
Previous position as Supervisor
Able to work unsupervised
Hands on person
Able to supervise customer's personnel
Experience in the maintenance of high volume, tight delivery equipment
Experience in printing operations and with quality systems.
Experience in the maintenance of high volume, tight delivery equipment
Strong organizational skills & teamwork's
Good communication skills
Able to work overtime if required.

The Role

Provide Customer Technical support on spare parts identification and references as may be required
Assist local spare parts management in determining appropriate stocking and purchase order policies and support to Commercial and Newspaper customers
Attend to customer technical issues and problems and address proactively to ensure they are resolved.
Identify potential technical issues proactively and provide solutions for customers.
Be directly involved with day-to-day problems and be hands on in approach to rectify them.
Interact proactively with the Technical Service Centre on solutions as required
Escalate serious issues to Service Manager.
Work actively on increasing the production performance of installed company equipment consumables (printcom)
Provide printers maintenance services , Co-ordinate resources (technical, design, spare parts) as required
Support staff on technical issues , Key customer support and provide liaison to key customers on all technical, service and support issues
Provide Customer Technical support on spare parts identification and references as may be required
Assist local spare parts management in determining appropriate stocking and purchase order policies
Advanced technical skills related to Company's WEB presses to allow:
Diagnose problems , Develop solutions , Implement solution, Diagnose issues remotely (over phone or via dial-up), Describe solutions to customer engineers and printers, Explain technical concepts to engineers and printers, Provide solutions to customers and Identification of opportunities
